Hi, I am Sheri Ann.
I am an award-winning photographer who has been photographing people my entire adult life. When my children were born, I discovered my passion for newborn and family photography. My approach to photography is to capture your memories from authentic moments that tell your story and showcase individual personalities. My photo sessions take place in your home so that your newborn and family are more relaxed in familiar surroundings.
Allow me the honor of capturing your baby and your family’s memories.
Why Do I Love This Snapshot of Me?
My husband, who is not a photographer, took this snapshot of me shortly after I gave birth to our daughter. In this picture I am exhausted, I’m recovering from an emergency C-Section, and my hair is a mess. But what I remember when I look at this picture is how happy I was holding my firstborn on her first day in this world. This is one of my favorite pictures of me and my daughter.
My Fresh 48 Sessions capture the unique truth of your child’s birth story. I work around you and your baby, and the chaos of hospital rooms or birthing centers. Babies change even in the first 48 hours after they are born, and I strive to quickly capture the little details that will be gone by the time you have your Newborn Session.
What Do I Think of When I Look at this Photograph?
In 2005, I took my daughter to a Sesame Street Live performance. Moments before I took this photograph, she was joyfully playing in our backyard with the Mylar Elmo helium balloon I bought for her. One of the photographs I took before this one is her father’s favorite photo of our daughter playing with her balloon. Then she let go of Elmo. The expression on her face in this picture as she watched Elmo float away brings me right back to this moment as if it happened yesterday. As much as I love this picture of my daughter, there is another I would have liked to have had, but no one was there to take the next picture of me holding her and consoling her after I put down my camera. I wish I had that picture!
Like me, you are probably the documentarian for your family. But take care that you hand the camera to someone else lest you get left out of your family’s story. If you are always behind the camera and never in the pictures, you are erasing yourself from history!

Why Is This One of My Favorite Photographs?
I took this photograph of my son while he was jaundiced at less than two days old in the hospital. I had had a scheduled C-Section at 39 weeks, but my sweet boy was in a hurry to be born. Efforts to stop my labor were unsuccessful and my son was born at 37 weeks. Initially, he had trouble breathing, which he quickly overcame. A day later, he developed the jaundice. Despite recovering from my C-Section, it was important to me to capture the raw, authentic story of our son’s birth. You can clearly see the yellowing of his skin in this photograph, and I wouldn’t have this picture appear any other way.
I can’t wait to meet you and preserve the memories of your family’s story!
